Ronaldo is out of United’s accounts against Chelsea

Manchester United announced, on Thursday, the exclusion of its Portuguese international, Cristiano Ronaldo, from the list of the team that will visit Chelsea on Saturday, in the thirteenth stage of the English Premier League, after his behavior during the match against Tottenham.
A club statement read: “Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of the Manchester United squad for Saturday’s match against Chelsea in the Premier League. The rest of the team is focused on preparing for this match.”
Ronaldo, 37, who sat on the bench during United’s 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, left the bench in the last minute of the match to the dressing room while the match was still going on, and press reports indicated that Ronaldo informed his Dutch coach. Eric Ten Hag said he did not want to come on as a last-minute substitute.
And when the coach was asked after the match about the issue: “I didn’t pay attention to what happened today, I will deal with the matter tomorrow. I want to focus on the team and the great performance.”
Speculation abounded about Ronaldo’s future in the team, after he started on the bench in most matches in the Premier League, as he participated only twice this season, in the loss against Brentford 0-4 at the beginning, and the goalless draw with Newcastle last weekend.
Ronaldo tried unsuccessfully to leave the team in the summer after the club failed to qualify for the Champions League.
