Al-Akhdar issued a statement on its Twitter account, saying: “After reviewing the latest developments in the appeal of the International Anti-Doping Committee (WADA) in the case before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) concerning the player Fahd Al-Mawlid.”
The statement added: “After sharing views with the legal department of the Saudi Football Association and the lawyer of the Saudi Football Association, and accordingly and as a precautionary measure, coach Herve Renard decided to exclude the player from the list participating in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and to summon the player Nawaf Al-Abed to join the club. the list”.
The decision to suspend the generator for 18 months was issued in May 2022, due to a violation of the doping detection regulations, before the ban was lifted.
Fahd Al-Mawlid, 28, participated in 4 matches with Al-Shabab, in the Saudi Roshan League competition, this season, during which he scored a goal.
The first participation of the player will be Nawaf Al-Abed in the World Cup, as he was found in the list of the Saudi national team in the World Cup in Russia 2018.
Al-Abed (32 years old) has previously participated with Al-Akhdar in 48 international matches, during which he scored 8 goals.
