French duo ends Morocco’s adventure

The French national football team joined its Argentine counterpart in the 2022 World Cup final, after winning its Moroccan counterpart 2-0, in a match that brought together the two teams at Al-Bayt Stadium, in the semi-finals of the tournament, on Wednesday.
While the team dubbed the “Roosters” reached the second final in a row, the “Atlas Lions” presented an impressive level in front of the defending champion, and shared the performance until the last minutes of the match.
The double of the French national team scored over the two halves, Theo Hernandez at the minute «5», and Randall Kolo Mwani «79».
The French started the match in the best scenario, when they were able to open the scoring only 5 minutes after the start whistle, and Olivier Giroud, the historic scorer for France, came close to adding the second goal, but he hit the post hard at the 17th minute.
Morocco coach Walid Regragui was dealt a painful blow by the exit of defender Nayef Akrad, just before the start of the match, then his colleague, captain Romain Sayes, who came out in the 21st minute, and Salim Amlah participated in his place.
One minute before the break, Moroccan Jawad Al-Yamiq hit an amazing “double back”. But Hugo Lloris, France’s goalkeeper, saved it brilliantly, and in the second half, the Moroccan team’s attempts to return continued with an equalizing goal, but their attacks ended under the feet of the conglomerate French defense.
Al-Rakraki made a substitution by entering Abd al-Razzaq Hamdallah instead of Nusiri, in an attempt to activate the attack, but from a quick counterattack, Kylian Mbappe manipulated the Moroccan defense, and passed a ball to Wrandal Kolo Mwani, the “substitute”, who did not find it difficult to deposit the Moroccan net at “79”.
The referee counted 6 minutes as lost time, with no change in the result, so the match ended with the French team winning 2-0, to set a date with the Argentine in the final, next Sunday. French duo ends Morocco's adventure
