10 celebrity looks that stole the spotlight on the red carpet in 2022

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) — She walked the red carpet in 2022, many elegant and distinctive outfits, and looks full of experiments and self-expression, some of which left a mark in the memory of the fashion world.

And the number of celebrities who returned to the past to be inspired by it increased, such as the Marilyn Monroe dress worn by Kim Kardashian during the “Met Gala”, which sparked widespread controversy.

This year, many red-carpet walkers seemed to adopt an “anything goes” approach, from Brad Pitt’s sexy linen skirt suit to Julia Roberts’ playful George Clooney dress.

The world press tour for The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson and Zoe Crafts, was rich in symbols for the film’s characters. The dress that Kravitz wore, signed by “Oscar de la Renta”, during the film’s premiere in New York City, was the most prominent on the red carpet.

The dress featured gothic corset detailing along with a cat-shaped bodice as a tribute to Kravitz’s role in the movie, Catwoman.

In May, the celebrities involved interpreted this year’s Met Gala theme, inspired by the American Gilded Age, from several angles.

Blake Lively’s dress was indisputably the highlight, and serves as a symbolic tribute to the iconic architecture of New York City.

In addition to the color of the dress, in homage to the Statue of Liberty motif, the Versace design featured details of some of the city’s most famous landmarks, from the Empire State Building to Grand Central Station.

Even the crown that Lively adorned indicated the Lady of Liberty, as it was studded with 25 precious stones to embody the 25 windows of the crown of the iconic Statue of Liberty.

After her star shined in 2021, while playing Princess Diana in the fourth season of the “Netflix” drama “The Crown”, Emma Korine established herself as a risk on the red carpet.

At the London Film Festival, Corinne wore a burlesque dress by JW Anderson. The one-shoulder short dress, designed in a bubble style with a shimmery finish, has an orange goldfish print.

While Jada Pinkett Smith’s red carpet look was overshadowed by her husband’s slap to the Oscars presenter, her shimmering emerald green dress was one of the most eye-catching outfits of the evening.
