Chess tournament.. Salem Abdul Rahman is a champion
On Saturday, Emirati Salem Abdul Rahman won the chess championship, with a prize of 300,000 Saudi riyals, at the end of the competition organized by the General Entertainment Authority, in coordination with the Saudi Chess Federation, within the activities of the Riyadh calendar.
The competition witnessed the participation of more than 100 male and female players from different Arab countries, who competed for two days, before the Emirati was crowned with the first place award.
Al-Masry Bassem Amin achieved second place with a prize of 200,000 riyals, and his compatriot Adham Fawzi ranked third with a prize of 100,000 riyals.
Over the course of two days, Arena Boulevard Riyadh City hosted chess competitions, and world-class players participated in it, who achieved the title of “GM” international grandmaster, which is the highest title a chess player can win, and a player who won the title “WGM” international grandmaster, and 6 participants. They took the title of International Professor “IM”, and two players won the title of International Professor “WIM”, in addition to ten players who have the title of Federal Professor “FM”, two players who have the title of Federal Professor “WFM” participate, two players won the title of Candidate Professor “WCM”, and five Players awarded the title of Candidate Professor «CM».
